Mon Coeur, Lyon, France, 2019
In the weeks leading up to the sixth Global Fund Replenishment Conference, a collective of the world’s top street artists turned cities around the globe (RED) to drive heat and awareness around the AIDS fight. More than 25 murals and installations were revealed as part of a coordinated campaign across Washington DC, New York, Berlin, London, Paris, Jersey City, Accra, Malmo, Cape Town, New Delhi, Horsens, Nairobi, Manila, Lima, Ho Chi Minh City, Dakar, Oslo, and Lyon.
At the Replenishment Conference on October 10th, thanks to (RED) and other donors from all over the world, the Global Fund was able to reach its funding goal of US$14 billion. These funds will help save 16 million lives and get the world back on track to end AIDS, TB, and malaria.
The mural was painted on the Maternity Ward of the Croix-Rousse hospital.
